prints, frames, originals- bring street art into your home.

Melvin King is one of the prominent African American contributors to the contemporary art world. Known as the "Urban Artist", he typifies the energy of others in the field who leave impressions of their own experiences on canvas in hopes that it will touch the lives of others. Raised on the southside of Chicago, Melvin lived in a two-room apartment that he shared with his parents and six other siblings. His gift for drawing came naturally and after experimenting with pencil and paper, he picked up the brush and created his now famous "Building" painting which depicts his childhood home on 31st Street in Chicago. Today, Melvin King's paintings are displayed in galleries across the continents. His work has garnered acclaim from the general public and celebrities. Satisfied clients include Oprah Winfrey, Tina Turner, Diddy, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and many more.
